Oh no, you have COPD? Emphysema or chronic bronchitis? Is it due to the smoking? How many years have you smoked? This news has soured my morning, I’m so sorry to hear that @Malvok.
It’s emphysema. Smoking did it. I’ve smoked since I was 15, 29 years with 10 years off during that time.
It’s not big deal really. I even still smoke, picked it up again during my mother’s illness. I am attempting to quit, gonna try again today.
Dammit. Why does crap like this have to happen? As if you don’t have enough on your plate with mental illness and diabetes. Sarcoidosis is bad in and of itself, but treatable, and as far as I know, once you’ve recovered, you’re pretty much in the clear…if I understand correctly.
Yeah, for me the sarcoidosis inflamed a lymph node in my chest which pressed against my windpipe making me cough constantly. They treated it and it went away.
As for why things like this happen? In my case of COPD, the stupidity of youth. Don’t smoke kids.
