Have you heard of hikikomori?

It’s a loneliness disease in Japan. More than 1 million young people are supposed to suffer from it. They don’t want to get out of the house and shop at night. It’s supposed to be caused by the suffocating conformism in Japan.

Thought it was interesting. Let me see if I can find a link.

Just sounds like extreme agoraphobia to me.

I think I’ve heard of this before. One time a guy told me “You can’t be a hermit.” But I wasn’t a hermit. I went places but I was broke so I couldn’t go out as much as I wanted to like to eat and also I don’t think there was a lot to do in that city besides bars and fast food and I wasn’t drinking and like I said I was broke because I was unemployed so I couldn’t go out to eat even though I wanted to.

I watched the first half of the video. It’s fascinating. I could imagine ending like that. But not yet!
