Have you had your testosterone levels checked?

If so what were your levels at?
my total testosterone level is at 480ng/dL

Mine are much lower than I would like.

Just a little trans humor for you!

Are you on hormone replacement therapy like estrogen?

No. I would go on testosterone, but I don’t like the side effects.

So you’re female transitioning to male? Yeah testosterone is expensive. I’ve considered taking testosterone cypionate. I’ve looked into it but it shuts down your natrual T production if your a male. It’s probably also a good Idea to get on HCG too if your male and want to have kids.

Taking testosterone when you already have normal testosterone levels is bad for you. Excess testosterone gets converted to estrogen in your body, so you’ll grow boobs.

Right it’s called gynecomastia. I don’t think I’ll start TRT unless it becomes more affordable and not until I reach at least age 40 when my T levels begin to drop.

and unless it is medically necessary? Because if you have levels within normal range, your body will still convert the excess to estrogen. Don’t make the mistake so many of my trans guy friends have made.

After about age 30 males start to lose 1-3% testosterone per year. I’m not trans but I know that once your about age 40 your T levels are super low. It’s not always a bad idea to start TRT when your T levels are below the normal range. TRT brings your T levels into a normal healthy young mans range anywhere from 259ng/dL-1041ng/dL. Most men don’t regret starting TRT. It can give you more energy and help your overall feeling of wellbeing. TRT is not like a Steroid cycle. Steroid users take anywhere from 600mg of test to 1g of test which gives you super physiological levels of test way above the normal range; which gives you the androgenic effects and strength gains. When You’re on TRT you take anywhere from 80mg-150mg of test. On 80mg-150mg of test you’re not going to have super physiological levels of testosterone. They also have aromatase inhibitors like arimidex to block the conversion of excess testosterone into estrogen. Too much estrogen = moodiness.

As long as you’re doing it with a doctor’s guidance, and getting your liver enzymes checked regularly.

Maybe i was born with a tail.

That’s interesting. Though I’m not sure I understand it all. What exactly makes you call yourself a ‘freak’?

This thread is making me curious if I should get it tested.

Like I ‘learned’ that I have a modicum or two of what I would call ‘effeminate optics’. AND I always thought I caused it by ahem ‘strumming it too much’ while being a 14 year old boy, etc. As in like a loss of testosterone ultimately?

Maybe I was scared to google it; it’s in the back of my mind and has been.

Apologies if this is conveys a massive lack of knowledge. Thought we might discuss this if you feel like it.

I don’t know anything about medicines, i am a baker. I know psychology and economics. By freak i mean i am special. I had to repeat a whole class cause i failed in english and chemistry in German school. I know you can grow yourself boobs when you drink too much milk. I didn’t liked milk as a kid naturally but i was forced. My mother told me she wanted me to be a girl. My name would have been Petra. I think she is still working on it.

@Jayster How much Testosterone do you inject and how often do you inject? I’ve heard some people pin every week sometimes spread it out to every other day to keep levels consistent. Are you on HCG or an aromatase inhibitor? How much do you spend per month on therapy?

I apply an ointment once daily.

It is a well-produced method of delivery. (It washes off your hands; it doesn’t stain your clothing.)
