Its such a horrible thing.

It even spreads.

But they say once you get it you wont get it again .

I had it as a child. in the United States. Most children get it before 10 years old.

I got it in my mouth and throat the most. I was able to drink only liquids.

My sister and I had to go to “chicken pox parties” until my sister finally got it.

I got it from her.

I was probably 11.

Not fun.

Still have scars.

yes as a kid…we all got it. me not so bad i remember i was able to play in the yard.

I’ve had it twice.

When I was a kid, my mom took me to my friend’s house to catch it. I got a very mild case.

A few years later I was stung by a honeybee, I’m allergic. My arm swelled huge and I got the chicken pox on that arm. Nowhere else. On top of that I got poison oak- again, allergic.

Pediatrician told my grandmother that the sting messed with the immune sustem in my arm and that’s why the pox was only in it. It was so gross, my arm was swollen and blackish blue. They thought I was going to lose it.

Unfortunately it can reappear as shingles in later life.

People develop shingles when the varicella-zoster virus, which causes chickenpox, reactivates in their bodies after they have already had chickenpox.

I got it as a child i was aged about 7. When i woke up that day i could sense something was wrong and went straight to a mirror to look at my face… it was covered in spots.

I had it. My parents brought me to my infected cousin so I would catch it early at 10 years old or maybe younger.

I remember those oatmeal baths. Gawd that sucked.

Hope Shingles isn’t in my future.
