My hair started thinning pretty young. I always say it’s my head’s revenge for having super long hair as an adolescent . But soon as it was obvious I shaved it right off. Well, not shaved per se, I use my electric clippers to take it as far down as it’ll go. I don’t want that shiny, cue-ball effect.
Those options only work temporarily, cover up or just slow down the balding. In the end you end up being bald anyways. There is no such thing as a bald cure!!
The stigma towards extensions and wigs has completely and utterly changed.
It’s as acceptable now as it was in the ‘60s, when it seemed completely ok.
And throughout history.
Sometime in the 80s it was shamed.
I use Alpecin shampoo. That’s supposed to help. For the 32 days I was in hospital I couldn’t use it atall. There’s been a definite negative effect. Also vitamin D deficiency, which I have,is reckoned to cause hair loss/thinning. There’s mixed info as to whether hair growth is restored when you’re no longer vitamin D deficient.
I used to have super thick hair. It’s been thinning for a few years now. I used to be frustrated with how thick my hair was, but now I kind of miss it. I guess you always want what you don’t have
