When I lived in San Diego I had an upstairs neighbor from Iran. She ordered a pair live from Maine. She gave them to me because she couldn’t cook them alive. Not sure what she thought she was ordering.
I like them but they are kind of pricey. So I don’t get them often. But they have to be prepared well. They are pretty good at Outback. The other steakhouse I go to is Longhorn and they have better steak but the lobster tails are horrible.
I live in South Louisiana. It’s crawfish season. We have crawfish boils all the time. I love them but they have to be purged with salt to suit my preference.

I find them incredibly gross looking too I have a massive phobia of sea creatures.

I had garlic snails in Greece. They are nice too. You get a little pick where you can pluck the snail from its shell.

I’ve raised and killed my own food. Part of my ancestor’s culture was to thank all life for becoming our sustenance.
And I’d do it again.

I think if you have respect for the meat you eat and once killed don’t waste it I think that is the right way to go. I have respect for my food. I think as humans we need meat in out diet.

On my 16th birthday all I wanted was a lobster.
Got it.
It was good, and I do like lobster, but it wasn’t the best food I’ve ever had.
And I agree they are sea bugs.
Kind of gross to think about.

I’ve never eaten lobster, but in the past my friends and I would drive down to Valdez, Alaska, and buy King Crabs off the boat live and we’d take them down to the beach and boil them up and eat them with lemon butter. Once you’ve eaten Kings, you will forever after consider all other crabs inferior. They’re delicious!

lol no and i probably never will unless my gf makes me. I hate seafood but maybe ill try it just to be a man of culture
