has your illness effected any close relationships?
My illness, sza, has affected all my relationships all my life. That’s why I am alone today.
If anything, it’s made them better.
It gave my parents and siblings a logical explanation for my behavior, and after I was admitted to the psych ward, it let them see me in a weakened and honest state.
This caused them to have more sympathy and understanding for me.
It helped the relationships immensely, because I received more understanding for my symptoms. They now knew I wasn’t just lazy and “strange”, they knew there was something wrong with me that I couldn’t control.
And after I got off drugs and onto medicines, my symptoms became way more manageble and I was able to repair some of the bridges that had started burning.
I don’t know if my sz has effected my relationships
In a word - yes. 151551515151
I let my anxiety manifest as anger which caused me to lash out at my immediate family and close friends. I thought I was completely justified in doing so too, ugh. Every little thing annoyed me. I couldn’t just let things simmer down, I had to have an outlet.
I’m doing a lot better now. All the relationships I damaged have been repaired. Thank goodness for meds.
I’ve lost everyone I’ve ever encountered on this journey. So yes. Everyone either likes me then hates me or just hates me
Before the meds It affected all my relationships. Paranoia is a cruel master. It really is.
Post meds I have been married and had much better relationships. It really has made all the difference.
I felt like a outcast for years
because of this all relationships were effected
most people don’t care
Idk how much my sza effects my relationships compared to my other conditions. But I’d say yes it has.
The only way my illness effected my relationships is now I hate people. Like sooo hard. Sooo much. I’m like hate Oprah. Look under your chairs!! You get hate! You get hate! You all get hateeeeeee!
I like my online friends though
Yes I lost my best friend and my ex because of it some people just cant handle it
