Has anyone ever been part of an ACT team?

ACT stands for Assertive Community Treatment. I just started about a month ago on an ACT team and it’s really quite intensive. I have a nurse, social worker and a psychiatrist all assigned to my case. I think it’s really helping to have so much support as I go through a difficult time with my illness right now.

I’m just wondering, is anyone on here involved with an ACT team? What are some things you liked or didn’t like about it?

It’s good to have that much support.
I don’t have an ACT team but I do have a strong support system in place.

I see a psychiatrist, a therapist and I also see a case manager weekly.

Good luck to you!

I don’t have an ACT. Never heard of it but I have a psychiatrist, a nurse practitioner, a psychologist and a social worker. I also have a vocational rehabilitation counselor I have been seeing over the last year so I stay busy with appointments.

I have had teams available for me while under care, but I refused most stuff cause it was mostly group meetings

I have an ACT team that cares for me. I see a nurse, social worker and psychiatrist. I’ve been with them for a year and a half. Sometimes they push me to go to groups, but I don’t do well in groups so I turn them down. They also have offered Clozapine to me many times but I really don’t want to be on that drug. They’re wiling to work me with though and try out other things which is nice.

I know I’ve mentioned mostly the negative stuff but really overall they’re very good and have kept me well.
