has anybody taken this med, basically abilify isnt working and i dont know if a dosage increase is gonna help, also i cant afford it and i am having problems with insurance but i could afford perphenazine without insurance
i know perphenazine is a typical antipsychotic so there is more risk of bad side effects but they are still really rare and i think i saw someone say perphenazine is one of the better typicals
my friend takes it, he went off it for a while and on another med but now hes back on perphenazine and doing much better he said.
has he ever told u about any side effects from it i am wondering what are the common ones people experience on it so i will kinda know what to expect if i get put on it
he’s on other meds too, but hes pretty skinny still though. He never complains of side-affects.
He’s on Depakote I think and prophenazine and Seroquel as far as I know. Maybe something else too.
I just got off of perphenazine after nearly ten years. Its a good medicine overall. I would say give it a try. The reason why I stopped taking it was because it stopped or lost its effectiveness after taking it for so long. It started losing its potency last year. Plus I don’t mix meds anymore but I’m different I guess. Don’t be afraid of it.it may help you.
And the other thing is, the only side effects I had were mild akathisia and drowsiness.
I took Perphenazine 9 years ago and it gave me akathesia, but then do most aps.
