it’s our new year holiday season. we celebrate for a few weeks on and off.

i am starting out in a new congregation. i am hopeful.

I looked it up and the Jewish New Year starts today, Monday 9/6 and goes until Wednesday 9/8.

I know a little about Judaism but not a lot. Why is today considered the new year?

since the forum doesn’t wish us to discuss religion too much i won’t get into it.

thanks for all the well wishing for me and i wish you a sweet academic calendar year as well.

after all the whatever that has been going on i.e. corona etc, thank god we are alive.
