Hallucination synesthesia

So, I have aphantasia. If you don’t know what that is, in short, it’s the lack of mental imagery. I can’t even make the color red appear in my head if I want to. It’s basically an empty space full of text and audio only. However, I notice I get sensations of hallucinations that would normally be visual, such as continually “feeling” this horrifying monster and being able to describe it but not “seeing” it.

Does anyone else experience similar? It feels like a cross between tactile and visual.

I used to get this. I sometimes get it to this day if I wake up in the middle of the night.

Were you able to explain it to docs? I always have trouble with it because it seems to not come across as a true hallucination to them.

I never mentioned it to them. It went away when I was put on meds. The best way of explaining it is to say you strongly sense a presence I think.

These were part of my first symptoms, until they ended up acuatlly being hallucinations. They were scarry.

I had something like that to where I “sensed” thoughts rather than heard them out loud. I sensed other peoples thoughts bombarding my brain. Almost like thought insertion but more violent and aggressive.
