So far I haven’t noticed any…I took one last night and went to Walmart…took one when I got up…and so far not noticing much of anything…but I know meds could take a little while to kick in to the helping stage…but so far so good…
Haldol is an effective med I wish you luck but I wonder your Doctors obsession with first gen antipsychotics…although haldol is probably one of the best first gen antipsychotics…much better than prolixin at least.
Yeah, I agree with Jon. I don’t get it either. How old is your doc?
Just the last 2 were first gen…I’ve been through maybe 8 or 9 others…so around 11 meds INA year…
After some time, a few weeks, the akathesia was so bad I had bruises on the bottom of my feet, my face froze up next.
What happened with the other ones? The second gen ones?
That’s what I fear…prolixin made me pace until I was exhausted and then pace some more…
I’ve only had haldol as a prn in the hospital…when they took me in…they injected me with haldol initially. When I got out of control they strapped me up and gave me a haldol injection…or maybe that was Thorazine i can’t remember…or both. I’ve never been on it consistently but I’ve read it’s very effective.
Varies a few made me feel suicidal…most of them zombified me…her dosage may have been too high but she’s pretty good about starting smaller so Idk…
Jw have you tried abilify, because that’s what I’m on. Or latuda or geodon…these seem to be the 3 most effective meds with least sideaffects based on board consensus.
My hearts beating a little fast and my chest hurts a little…I took a Bayer…I guess no coffee this morning…
