Anyone have food cravings with higher doses of Haldol? On a low dose I wasn’t overeating. But since the men are still following me the dr upped my dose. Now I’m hungry and craving food all the time. Anyone else have this response to Haldol. Oh- I can’t afford the atypical antipsychotics and because I have Medicare I don’t qualify for coupons

I was on 30 mg of Haldol up until 2 weeks ago (I switched to Zyprexa), and I never had major food cravings on it. It was weight neutral for me.

I’ve only had TD with haldol, and was on cogentin and it cleared up.
Never had a problem with weight gain until seroquel.

I upped my Haldol from 1mg to 2mg recently but I have never had food cravings. However, my dose is still pretty small.

I gained 60 pounds on haldol. I was hungry all the time.
