snowdrops break through in march
much to my delight
bluebells and daffodils follow

trees stand barren and bare
remnants of winter
soon to bare fruit once more

nights are lasting longer
bringing spring light
to weary eyes of old

There once was a small round potato
Who got stranded on a large ice floe
When he fell in the sea
Oh woe is me
He was devoured by a large minnow
