I was out for a drive tonight and I was debating whether to drive thru to get something to eat. The Jack-in-the-Box app wasn’t working so I tried the KFC app. An ad popped up for an 8 piece bucket of chicken for $10. It was right there in front of me so I said “why not” and clicked on the offer.
Then I drove to the restaurant which was 5 minutes away and got in the drive thru and told them I had an online order. When I got to the window there were two 19 or 20 year old kids working the window. I said online order for Nick but they looked all over and couldn’t find my name.
They showed me a receipt for a Nicole but it was for chicken tenders. I said that’s not me. I told them about the offer and I told them I thought it was weird that it didn’t ask for my payment information. He called the other guy over and I explained everything. He said sorry we don’t have a record.
Well, to make a long story short I offered to pay cash but I think they just wanted to get rid of me and gave me the bucket for free! Man, I said Thanks! And drove off with a free bucket of chicken. Score!
