Gynecologist

I have an appointment with a gynecologist on Tuesday (2nd June) because I want to know if there’s a reason why I don’t get pregnant. I want to know if eveything is ok or not. So I’ll tell you on Tuesday as soon as I know it.

Good luck and keep us informed. I hope its something fixable and not the meds. We have a member here named @LED who got pregnant on a particular antipsychotic.

I hope they don’t stigmatize me for having schizophrenia.

Most likely they will be understanding and empathetic.

How long have you been trying? It’s normal to take up to a year to get pregnant if you’re under 35. 6 months if you’re over 35.

That being said, I dealt with infertility for 7 years before having my daughter, so if you have questions I might be able to answer them.

I’m 35 and I have been trying during 6 months.

Get a referral to a reproductive endocrinologist. A lot of gynos will try to prescribe fertility meds, but it can be really dangerous because they don’t do the right kind of monitoring. Please please see a reproductive endocrinologist.

0.o,why is over 35 takes six month while under 35 takes a year?I thought the younger you are the easier you will get pregnant?

Over 35 is 6 months because you’re older and considered “advanced maternal age” and they don’t want to waste time if you’re not getting pregnant. Under 35 has time to go the full year that statistics says it can take.
