When we went to town we were sitting in our van outside a thrift store. This girl walks by and she gives me a dirty look because I glanced at her. She was out in public and showing a lot of skin. I was sequestered in a van. She was invading my privacy. I was not invading hers.

How rude of her. It’s natural to glance at someone as they pass by. She probably has issues

I wouldn’t give her a second thought. Just let it go. People can be very rude

I was walking into work and a guy in a car passed by and looked at me from head to toe. I was so angry 
until I got this little check in my heart that said “Don’t be angry.” And so I wasn’t. And it was good.

In AA they say that when you cop a resentment the person is “taking up space in your head and not paying rent.” The problem is that there is that I have such widespread ill fame. Most of it is a heinous violation of my privacy.
