Gross subject matter. Well, kind of gross. I just want to know if this happens to anyone else

A few years ago,

I was doing my toenails and noticed one of the nails seemed to have a little bubble under it.

So, of course, I messed with it.

The nail was completely not attached to the skin under the bubble.

When I trimmed away that part of the nail, it was perfectly normal skin under there.

It still happens every few months.

Though now I don’t mess with it and paint over until it grows all the way out.

Is this normal?

Does this happen to anyone else?

In all honesty, I don’t know what your describing

It’s weird.

It’s just like part of the nail that grows without attaching to the skin.

Very odd.

It may be something like an ingrown toenail

You’re up early by the way. You must be enjoying your time this early in the morning, huh? I got up at 4:00 and cleaned my hotel room cuz I don’t want to leave something too dirty (and went to waffle house)

I thought you enjoyed the morning… although 2:30 am is a bit early to rise. I prefer 4

I do enjoy early mornings, but usually wake up between 3:45 and 4.

Maybe go to the doctor?? They maybe able to help it grow right again?? Sometimes to get it to grow right again they have to remove the toenail but they numb it really well! (I use to watch toe bros)

I know that some nail abnormalities can be caused by issues with nutrition (or malnutrition), and I have no doubt that medication can do things, too, as well as just people being imperfect people. :woman_shrugging:

Possibly a fungal issue. Probably best to see a dr.
