Grocery stores in the USSR and in today's Russia

I had my brief candle light ritual today. A good topic came to my mind. There is a big difference between the USSR and today’s Russia. In the 1980s there was food shortages in the grocery stores in the USSR and people were not able to buy food. Now after watching a couple of YouTube videos I can just conclude that today the situation in Russia is quite opposite. Now they have a plenty of food and drinks in the grocery stores, even after there have been many sanctions by Western nations. We all need to eat and drink. I have also added to this posting my today’s grocery purchase here near the Russian border. It is more expensive here than it is in Russia as this one YouTube video shows.
