Great movie

I just rewatched Lilo and Stitch. I have to say that Stitch is the best metaphor for mental illness I’ve ever seen.
You nailed your profile picture @Comatose

If anyone hasn’t seen this movie since you got sick I really suggest it.

Thank you! I’ve seen the movie a thousand times. Kids love it.

I used to think Stitch was just a cute alien.

Me too. He seemed just so adorable how he spit at the guard and nearly got him shot. That looks funny in text but it really was cute at the time.

He did become legitimately cute at the end though. He’s a monster but he has it under control. I bet he still at least tried to crush a few buildings in Memphis though.

It’s interesting how so much children’s pop culture can be linked to mental illness. Calvin and Hobbes. Winnie the Pooh. Fairly Odd Parents. I haven’t seen Lilo and Stitch since I was 10 though I’ll check it out.
