Take your meds.
if you have a problem with side effects and such talk with your doctor
But never end them on your own;
only if they have very bad side effects
This is a great advice I wish i followed when i was younger.
…
Quite agree. I used to get told off for taking too much Quetiapine when i was “on one” lol.
I think it is a common mistake to make when young and after first episode.
After my first episode I thought it was just a blip and that I would be fine. Plus I hated what the meds did with me. So naturally I had a go at quitting them. I thought it would be easy. And I was fine for about a month, but then it started again.
I had 3 admissions to the psych ward. But then eventually I understood I had to take meds…so it was learning by experience. I guess that’s the way we learn best.
Yes, you are completely right. Each time I stopped using medications it caused me psychosis.
I regret switching antipsychotics trying to find the right one I wish I’d stayed on olanzapine
You have referred specifically to a person on this forum about this before, so I have no doubt that this reference was intended for that person. You need to stop this. You are not their doctor and do not get to decide whether or not they take APs. If you don’t stop, I will suspend you for harassment.
Take a reality check guy. I wasnt talking about you
I know that you weren’t talking about me. I am still on AP’s. I am fully aware who your likely target was.
You’re one step from being suspended for harrassment of staff and disrespect
