@crimby yeah that is true and a lot of people think condoms work when they don’t break when the truth is they can still be infective without anyone knowing according to an obgyn so for about a month my husband so we had to try to be really careful and use condoms while trying to have sex as little as we could stand it has been really sucky and it honestly still is.
My hormonal IUD felt horrid going in. I am built…very different also and the doc couldn’t get it in at first. The hormonal one gave me terrible mood swings all 6 years it was in (including after it was replaced, yes I went through that twice) and made me grow a fibroid.
Ouch @Twialine, that does sound really painful. How are you feeling today? I’ve always avoided the IUD, I opt for the implant even though I’ve had problems with it.
@anon44466342 I’m still in pain but CBD is helping along with Tylenol and ibuprofen alternating between the two. I’ve had the implant and it worked well but my nurse practitioner for mental health said it wouldn’t work as well as it should with my depakote and I’d probably end up pregnant and depakote caused birth defects so I had to chose something else
I regret getting the IUD it is uncomfortable when I need to pee or BM or bend the wrong way or stand for to long, walk to much this STILL sucks I realized Monday will only be a week and yeah it doesn’t hurt as bad but I feel it should feel better than it does now… Am I just expecting “miracles”? Will it get better?

It shouldn’t still hurt. If it wasn’t inserted perfectly, it might be poking you.
The first time that I had an IUD, I kept getting awful pelvic pain. It was because it wasn’t sitting properly. I had it removed and then the pelvic pain went away.
But I have a new IUD, and it doesn’t hurt.
Maybe talk to your healthcare provider and just let them know it is still hurting.
@anon44466342 this is my only birth control choice that is better than condoms since my bipolar med makes it where hormonal birth control not work as well as it should. David is trying to get in to a doctor to talk about get snip snipped so I can get it taken out
@LilyoftheValley the pain has lessened at least it’s not near as bad and it’s my only reliable birth control choice I have so I’m not very willing to get it taken out until David gets snip snipped if that is possible.
@anon44466342@LilyoftheValley@Blossom maybe y’all are right but idk what to do until we can get David snip snipped if we even can… I can’t risk getting pregnant
Sorry, I forgot about that. I hope you guys can get the problem sorted. I’ve never had one so don’t really know, but I would have thought if it’s still hurting and it shouldn’t be by now, might be wise to report to the clinic? Just so they can give you advice.
@anon44466342@LilyoftheValley@Blossom I spoke to David about all of this and we decided that there are ways to… Take care of our wants and needs without risking pregnancy until he can get snip snipped… It won’t be the same as our usual sex but you know… We ordered him a new toy for this while I already have several since I’ve been more adventurous… I am gonna have the IUD taken out and yes I am gonna call the health department Monday, I hope getting it taken out doesn’t hurt as bad and long as getting it
@LilyoftheValley me too I’m getting kinda worried about it all… My back is in constant spasms and it hasn’t stopped for about 5 hour they aren’t bad just annoying and things are starting to hurt a little more so I hope I’ll be okay till I can get in
I hope you can get seen soon. If it gets really bad you could go to the ER, but there’s probably a very long wait to be seen. I’m really hopeful you see a dr tomorrow
