So how do you land a partner? For life? I’m talking about everything from date ideas to eye contact to small talk. Is it considered okay to date in the workplace?

Yeah it requires quite a lot of mental space. Maybe I should go with the flow more, focus on other things you know? I gotta save money so there’s always work.
You can date in the workplace as long as you keep it professional. But that being said, if things dont work out then you’re faced to come to work and see someone you dont want to.
I have some bad dating advice. In Japan they have vending machines for everything. Maybe you can put in a couple Yen, make your selection, and boom. Mate for life.
But seriously I tried those online dating sites in the past and to me they are full of empty advertising and they have a direct line to your bank account.
Some folks will look for folks based on hobbies or interests and even on religious beliefs. Maybe you could look in that direction.

This is how I think successful online dating should go, before you ever meet one another.
Meet/match/chat/w.e…start talking, almost instantly fall in deep lust patterns with one another. Talk intensely for 4 days. Then send a bad selfie to each other. “Oh you’re so pretty”. “Oh you’re so handsome”. 2 days later you guys stop talking. Then other person tries making it up, you respond. But realize it’s not going anywhere. You get depressed. You ignore their NEXT text. Then a day later you’re having an amazing day somehow and she texts you back and you realize that you really like her actually…??? Enough time has passed you still like each other.
And you fall back into patterns of lovey dovey chatting again.
Now you are ready to meet each other??

Ive been using some dating apps recently and i got a few people to chat with now. Might meet one of them soon for dinner.
The main thing is to keep the chats going with small talk and getting to know one another. Though ive had my fair share of people just wanting to hook up with me. Tbh hook ups get boring and feel empty.

Just went on a date with a coworker and now we’re not really talking. I wanna break the ice because she’s always flirting with me. She’s younger than me by 3 years. I have 5 days off soon, maybe I can ask to go hiking? She also has a car which is something I don’t have yet.
I really like her I just don’t know how to stay professional and express my feelings at the same time while at work. This is why I feel it might not work out for us.
I do not think it is ok to date in the workplace (for me personally) but to each their own… I tried online dating and met a lot of non serious people … i ended up on of them paid sites and found more were serious on there…
