I’m not one to post for validation. I post for fun but I’d like to have a quiet and simple life without posting all the time. Been on social media since I was 12. Been on the internet since I was 10. Back then , in the early 2000s there was no hustle culture or competing. I just really enjoy when I make tea and journal or when I meditate. I only keep my social media to show off my art but not really show it off. But no artists really connect with me. I haven’t made any art friends except in real life and the 70 followers I have were people I met at art events but we don’t even talk. What’s the purpose guys?

I got out of Facebook about 6-7 years ago. I tried Snapchat for a little while, but didn’t like it.
I like my life better without SOME. I keep in touch here, that’s enough for me.

I’m mainly on YouTube. I’ve cut back commenting as often on YouTube due to the current climate. I don’t feel the need to post as much on social media as I used to. I wasnt doing a lot to begin with, but I don’t want the exposure.

The exposure is definitely triggering. My dad is the only one in my family who doesn’t use social media. He explained to me that he just doesn’t feel the need to post. The problem I have with it is I just wish I wasn’t so keen on posting and engaging. I think this is why I quit my job, because I saw what other people had and wanted more for myself but tricked myself out of my position. Where the initial goal was to provide for my family and survive, I ended up comparing and losing in the end.

I post on instagram ideas and thoughts like a journal. One day I’ll look back and think, man, was I a fool. Good things.

Good point. I was on a FB page and it was awful.
I’m on Facebook to connect with certain family members but I’m mainly on it because I belong to a cat club.
I also go on to YouTube and TikTok
I sometimes want to quit Facebook
