Going back to windows 7

windows 7is only supported for another few years. i’ve been using linux for the last 10 years, and think it’s great, but i’m not a gamer.

If you can find the original install media you can still downgrade.

If the product key isn’t visible on your device then it is likely “baked” into the BIOS and will register automatically. Unless it’s a home built machine.

Cool…I didn’t know this.

I don’t have the install media but I can use recover factory setting.

I did have one problem with win 10 pro. After an auto update, the hard drive was continuously 100% active as windows was going around and around in circles attempting to activate and or install the update.

I just went to the task manager to find out what application was at the cause of it all, and then disabled it.
I did that since rebooting the computer made no difference at all. Anyhow, all was well after that. The update had been installed successfully.
