It was on the news over here. Some doctors were prescribing risperidone to dementia patients to calm them down, and they were getting all sorts of weird side effects.
Surely there are better options for calming these patients down than anti psychotics?
That’s awful. Antipsychotic side effects are no joke. I feel bad for those people being given them.
Docs prescribe olanzapine against anxiety and insomnia in my country. I don’t understand why? Olanzapine hasn’t worked for my anxiety nor my insomnia.
