So now that we’ve been separated for 8 months. We finally independentized ourselves and no longer need them for support or anything making us vulnerable to them. Should I give them another chance? Especially since they’re family?

No. The rule with narcissists is No Contact Ever Again. If you must make contact (since they’re family) keep it to a minimum and use gray rock at all times.

Is he a psychopath or a narcisist? A psychopath never changes and is very manipulative

No. A malignant narcissist. My mother in law is stuck in the middle tho. And we want her to be able to see my girls.
