Im pretty sure I’m a psychopath.
They are pretty common really.
I meet all the behavioural diagnostic criteria except known criminal activity in adolescence, but thats just because i never got caught.
Basically just wondering if i am a psycho or if its a delusion of schizophrenia. I really am not sure.
I don’t think psychopathy is a horrible thing. It is overembellished in hollywood.
Merely means you have a very controlled emotional state. Doesn’t mean you are predisposed towards criminality or anything like that, that’s a factor of your upbringing.
Psychopaths tend to gravitate up to the top of the dominance heirarchies, for better or worse.
It’s common in college psychology classes for students to read about all the various mental illnesses and types of psychiatric problems and think that the descriptions describes themselves. I fell victim to this and sometimes still do.
You may really be a psychopath or you may not, but you may just be projecting on yourself.
I would say that if you’re concerned about being a psychopath, then you’re not a psychopath.
Yeah, like Hedgehog said, I really don’t think psychopaths consider themselves psychopaths.
I have often worried about the same thing. Got a 5 on that test, though, so maybe I’m good? Did you take the test? What did you get?
Well, if being psychopathic paid more than I’m making right now I would be first in line to sign up for it.

Maybe you’re a sociopath. You should read about the differences. Someone I love very dearly is a sociopath. But she does fine. She’s still a human being that deserves love and respect. She just goes through this world a little differently than others. And there are plenty of them out there. Drs and Lawyers and CEOs and such.
