Gibson guitar company going bankrupt!

I always wanted a Les Paul electric guitar and now every Gibson guitar made will go way up in price…guess it doesn’t matter…I could never afford them anyways but damn !!

I wouldn’t worry. The people who own the name and company right now are idiots. Just look at some of the recent idiotic attempts to somehow improve on the classics. They have completely backfired and as a result, sales have suffered.
Gibson will never disappear. Someone else will buy the company and hopefully resurrect it with a better business model and respect for what made the company great.
In any case, check out Heritage Guitars. They still work out of the historic old Kalamazoo factory once owned by Gibson. Their prices are competitive and their guitars are still hand-made.:sunglasses:

Yeah it’s a bummer…I don’t think I’ve ever owned a Gibson. My acoustics are all usually Mitchell’s and my electric is a beautiful Ibanez.

Gibson’s are flashy, in my opinion. I like Taylors. They’re modestly priced and good quality.

My brother has an acoustic Taylor. It has a very beautiful and warm sound.

I had a Korean made Les Paul. I gave it to one of my son’s friends. I don’t know if it was really a Gibson or just a knock off

I think I still have a Fender Stratocaster. Don’t know how you spell it. I can’t play the guitar anymore. Was teaching myself.

I lost the coordination in my left hand to make chords. I can do most other stuff with it though.

I’m sorry to hear that about Gibson guitars. I don’t know what I would do if Yamaha went out of business.
