Getting irritable again on 3mg

Today I was in a real pissy mood
I mean I was real irritable
I’m assuming it’s because of the lowered Risperdal dose of 3mg again
The problem is when my doctor raises it to 4mg this is when I start to turn into a zombie and I feel as if I’m living under water.
Plus at 4 mg my TD symptoms are worse.
Thankfully I see her in less than two weeks but I don’t know what to do in the meantime
I don’t want to keep contacting the office

Can you go to 3.5mg ?

Yeah I may have no choice
I’ll see how I feel in a couple more days but if things become out of hand sooner then I’ll quickly increase the dose to 3.5mg
Thanks @everhopeful

This is just temporary
I’m going to need a permanent solution when it comes to Risperdal soon.
Hopefully she comes up with some answers because this drug is finally turning on me big time.
With all the good it has done for me over the years I can finally say that it’s run its course.
It’s time for me to find a different drug

Yes I tried a lot of different antipsychotics @zoa
None of them were as effective for my moods like Risperdal

I still may ask her to cut down my Risperdal dose to 2mg and raise my Abilify dose to 5mg

Have you tried adding 0.3mg of abilify (a tiny amount) to your risperidone?

That’s what I do because risperidone by itself is too strong for me. Once I add abilify the side effects go.

I take abilify once every 4 months, just tiny amount.

It could help

Oh sorry, didn’t read the whole thread. You already take abilify.

Hopefully you get sorted.

Stabilize the dose at 3 mg, I know from experience that frequent changes in daily doses have a negative impact on the brain, because it has to get used to the dose of the drug. You need perseverance because it may take a quite long time.
