I have to do some observations for my Augiology class, so I called a clinic and they’re letting me come in on Monday to watch some sessions. One of the things I’ll get to see is a cochlear implant activation. If you pay attention on the internet you’ll know what they are and why this is so exciting. I don’t know TOO much about them yet, but it’s essentially when a deaf child gets surgery and a device is activated to allow them to hear. Here’s an example of one being activated:
