Get the third person perspective

To live well we must have a third party involved or we can’t achieve anything.

The third party must be ancient and loving though, because asking other humans is pointless because we’re like the kids from lord of the flies.

So, ask him for it.

Because a consciousness cannot see itself, it can only be it’s own thoughts and feelings, all outgoing.

Perhaps the third party should be Government.

I agree.

But I am not entirely sure about this. Do we need to see ourselves? Is there no way we can dump the self? Is it better to keep the ancient loving other? I do these days (Amida) but I wondered whether there there might be another way.

And I wonder if we could become the loving other, and how many of us there are anyway! Consciousness, the other, and I? Is consciousness a person or a place? I am confused.
