Full time study

Hi all! I recently got into a course at university/college and was quite happy, but now the class requirements are out and Im beginning to doubt my ability to a) handle the stress and b) be able to be cognitively capable of retaining and processing information. The course is only available full time.

I dont have long to decide before fees are due. Im just scared if I withdraw ill just be on benefits my whole life or working part time in a retail or other job forever, but im also scared that if i commit to study and fail then i will suffer financial penalties and waste time and possibly damage my mental health.

Any advice?

My advice, would be not to doubt.

Take it slow everyday and as per my understanding the memories would stay.

Memories are impacted only when one does last minute studies, You will remember info only for the exam.

Like sudden spike in brain activity is not good, take it slow.

Just my understanding of self.

You have nothing to lose.

A qualification will be with you for life

Not saying it will be easy, but if you have found this site I am guessing you have insight…

Don’t doubt the power of knowing your own mind.

SZ is an excuse to not do anything, and too many fall into doubt.

Make your decision and stick with it.

In my opinion I’d say study

I have a bachelor’s in History and Sociology

It was hard, especially since I relapsed half way through

Despite the odds I still graduated with a half decent grade… Go for it I say

I guess it depends on how motivated you are. If you are, you’ll be able to overcome the hurdles.

Post-psychosis I was only able to study part-time so it might be well worth looking into a program that allows you to go at your own pace.

My 2 cents.
