I recall waking up late one morning for work, with 15 minutes to spare, I jumped in the shower, and nothing came out!
Took a blow dryer to the main water faucet out front and spent 10 minutes unthawing that pipe enough to get enough water out.
Still made it to work, but it started to snow, we ended up having to close because No One in Northern CA knows how to drive in the snow.

Hope you get them fixed soon.

:blush::pray:t3:

We are on a freze alert too as it is below 32 F here. We let the water faucets drip slow down to about 25 F.

If below 25 F, then a fast drip. This constant small flow of water wont let the pipes freeze.

The trick is, for us, is to remember todo this after each use.

It is also suggested to leave cabinet doors open below sinks to let the heat in the house warm up the pipes (in addition to dripping)

I dont think I have dealt negative temps before. It can get to single digits though. I am thinking the dripping will still work for you .

If your in a house, be aware that when the pipes start to thaw out, they ** might** leak. This will happen in apartments too.

I am just saying be ready, but hopefully it wont happen to you.

Do you have a water key??? If there is a bad leak, - and, your in a house, - then you can turn off the water outside under the big round metal cover on your curb.

That will stop flooding inside the house. It is easy to do. Water keys are sold at big home improvement centers.

If you have only one water faucet that is leaking bad- then look under the sink. You will find tiny oval shaped handles. they close the water valve to that sink.

Very gentley turn that oval handle. The water, If spewing from the tap or handles, it will stop.

Hope ot helps??

We also let the hot water pipe drip slowly on these cold nights. Had the hot water pipe freeze 1x so far and 1 drain pipe freeze. We were able to add insulation up the wall behind the bathtub. The caulking in the tub has shrunk and there are now huge gaps that water is getting behind the tub and wall. I’m dreading the damage back there and what we are going to find when it gets opened up. Hopefully I can afford the fixes this summer.
