Frightening night last night

Hi everyone, I haven’t posted in a while as I have been doing pretty well, but had a scare last night that I’d like to share with you all.

I fell asleep after getting home from my part time job at around 1 in the morning. I had a terrifying dream in which I had gone completely insane. The feelings that came along with the dream were so intense that I’d compare it to what i imagine hell would be like. The dream felt like it lasted forever. Immediately when I woke up from it, around 4 or so in the morning, my mind was racing so fast with a spinning image that was clearly in my vision. It danced around and I tried to focus in on it, meanwhile the anxiety I felt in my chest had turned into a burning sensation that spread throughout my entire body. But I could never make out what the image was. It looked almost like a blurry logo of some sort. The thoughts that came along with this were things like, wow this illness is only going to progress and get worse. This has happened a few times to me before. It’s almost like watching a television show in fast forward. Anyway, it was a terrifying experience and I’m still recovering from it tonight. My questions are:
Does anyone know what this is? Have you experienced anything similar? It felt to me as if it was just the definition of insanity. Eventually I will always be in a state like that. I hope these thoughts aren’t true. Other than that i have been managing to get through my days. But this was just very scary and strangely interesting at the same time. Thanks for reading.

I had hellish dreams and even false awakenings on seroquel. But that sounds even worse than that. What antipsychotic are you on ?

AP’s can trigger intense vivid dreams or nightmares

Are you taking the pills at the exact same time everyday? I get vivid nightmares on abilify if I don’t do that.

I take mine in the morning, and most of the time around the same time, but I can improve on it a little. What really freaked me out was the images I saw spinning clearly in my vision. I guess it was just an hallucination but it felt like my brain was short circuiting.

I have vivid dreams/nightmares almost every night. It helps to tell yourself it’s just that, a dream or a nightmare when you wake up and still are kind of in the middle of it. Easier said than done but that’s how I get through the tough ones.

That sounds reasonable. So it’s probably not that.

Geez I don’t know so. It’s definetely worthwhile reporting it back to your doctor though.

I plan on it, I see him on Friday. I haven’t heard of this happening to anyone before though and I’ve tried researching online since I got home from school but I can’t find a thing about it. Hopefully he can help.

Being on all three I’m curious if you have any noticeable side effects from being on all of those
