Freedom's just another word for nothing left to lose

When I think of freedom I think of the freedom of children from tyrannical parents and doctors. But that can only come with growing up and lots of opportunity.

I thought it interesting that in some Eastern religion, I can’t remember which, maybe Hinduism, they work towards freeing themselves of every single worldly trait including even having a consciousness.

I just thought it was weird because most people in the western world turn to religion partly because they’re afraid of ceasing to exist and these people sound like they actively work towards it.

I wish I could find freedom from my self hatred.

That is deep…but vague.

It’s not an original.

Freedom comes from within…

And within is exactly where these chains all wrapped around me reside…that comes from without.

Nothing don’t mean nothing honey if it ain’t free

Nothing left to lose also means nothing left to live for.

When people have nothing left to lose than that may motivate them to make some changes. But now that I read it over, “nothing left to lose” has two meanings.

Freedom’s just another word for nothin’ left to lose
Nothin’, don’t mean nothin’ hon’ if it ain’t free, no no
And, feelin’ good was easy, Lord, when he sang the blues
You know, feelin’ good was good enough for me
Good enough for me and my Bobby McGhee

Janis Joplin - Me And Bobby Mcgee Lyrics | MetroLyrics

imo, The only people with “nothing let to lose” are deceased.
