There’s a long, fancy word for treating dogs like humans, and it’s called anthropomorphism. Anthropomorphism is defined as the “attribution of human traits, emotions, and intentions to non-human entities and is considered to be an innate tendency of human psychology” (Oxford Dictionary, 1885).
I’m guilty of it.
I invented a new word: I call it “plagiarism”.
Yeah some animals, especially some dogs, really seem to have a little human soul behind their eyes hay. Like some wizard used a spell to trap a human in a dogs body haha.
Heck, I even anthropomorphize things. I’ve named my air concentrator Airielle.
Anthropos: human in greek.
