it’s the day before payday and I wrote a check for a pack of cigs on day six being stopped…sad sad…why do I even post about this? because it has me shaking in my boots that I may never be able to stop again…
That’s what too bad @jukebox
I know how you feel. I stopped dipping snuff for three months many years ago because I taped a picture of oral cancer on the dash of my car. I started again because I was bored I’m embarrassed to say.
I quit smoking tons of times. Eventually it stuck. Don’t be hard on yourself, just keep trying. You can do it!
thank you @anon4362788 I will try tomorrow again…this time I won’t give in so easily…If I can keep reminding myself tomorrow that cancer is just a matter of time when you smoke…I think that will help…I am terribly afraid of cancer…
What i did was roll my own. The roller is cheap. Use pipe tobacco, it has less nicotine. Don’t roll a bunch ahead of time, each time you want a smoke you have to roll one. Eventually you smoke less and less. It’s easier to quit totally. it’s also a lot cheaper.
I would do that but I like I said, the sooner I stop the better without weaning down…I have no control when I smoke…chain smoker…gonna kill me for sure at this rate…thank you but I have to keep trying cold turkey…I can stop just like that on the nicotine gum but as soon as I stop the gum I smoke again…no, cold turkey will prevail…I just have to stop giving in just because I’m uncomfortable.
I’m going to try on Friday to start my quitting adventure. I’ve been told to never give up even if I screw up. It on average takes 7 tries to quit. Just keep trying and trying.
Good luck! It’ll happen.
