Foreign languages always have sounds difficult for a native to make

Just ask a Frenchman to make a th sound. I think one of the reasons foreigners get unwanted is because we hear them struggling to speak.

I took Spanish in high school but could never make the rolling RR sound properly.

My partner can’t roll his “r” either. I can, but i chose to study French. Perhaps i should have studied Spanish.

I find the “r” sound in French a little challenging, as it is guttural. But it gets easier with practice.

I didn’t know about the French r but then, I didn’t learn French from a native Frenchman.

I always did bad in Spanish class.
It was always foreign to me, like it was a whole other language to me.

Duh, yes. Hopefully a international language will win out as spoken by everyone. It leans toward English at this time. I have lots of gripes about English, but language is not static. It grows and changes in time.
