Forces forcing me out

Keep ur fingers crossed for me. My girls are outta town so its me and el doggo alone in the house today. But temps are dropping again so will be cold after dark if the forces force me out of the house. This ■■■■ kills me. I understand about being paranoid about people outside of home or in public but worse for me is thinking something/body is already in the home.

I agree with @everhopeful
Try to distract yourself with some enjoyable music or a nice movie.
Treat yourself to good food.

Thanks @everhopeful @Wave , am trying to distract self until I cant do it anymore. Have to pick girls up at bus station Tonite so may just go early even if it means sitting for awhile and listening to car radio.

Gonna echo what everyone’s been saying: distraction does help. Favorite movie, a good show, some tunes all might help keep your mind engaged.

Plus, the ol’ doggo is there and can probably sense if there’s anything out of the ordinary going on as well.

Wishing you well :dizzy:

Only if they’re Tom Baker episodes.

I used to feel this exact way before I was medicated.

Don’t worry, friend. You’re safe.

Maybe listen to some music on headphones?

Thanks Monte, Ive got a couple things to watch, prob do supper with ole el doggo and thinking about doing some Xmas shopping tonite while Im waiting for the girls bus. This is so much easier to deal with in warm weather when I can just go out back and lay in my hammock hehe

Your dog will bark if someone is in the house. He will go to the stranger and bark. That’s what helps me at home. My dog is super friendly so if I need to know if someone is in my home I just pay attention to my dog. If he’s quietly laying in my lap, I know no one is there
