Forced motivation?

I think if someone hit me to be more motivated I will be more motivated. I wonder if going homeless or in jail will increase my motivation.

I feel like ■■■■ today.

My symptoms are acting up and I’m about to start my period, so my whole body hurts.

Do I want to do stuff, no.

Do I do it anyway, yes.

I’ve gotten dressed, put on makeup, made my bed, took out my dogs, fed them, cleaned up the kitchen and now I’m going to take my sick mother in law to the doctor.

I don’t want to do any of those things, but I force myself to do them.

You can absolutely force yourself to be more productive.

I have.

Almost everybody here struggles with negatives,

It’s no excuse.

Sometimes you just have to force yourself.

You don’t have to be hit or be homeless or go to jail.

Push yourself.

I think with pushing yourself, the idea is to go in babysteps. Otherwise your just going to burn yourself out and think you hate something.

Please don’t be too hard on yourself… also I agree … baby steps… you don’t need to do everything… like going for 15 min walk down the road can help feel a bit refreshed

Well said mate. You gotta push yourself thru the negatives - that is part of recovery.

Its called life - and life is bollox sometimes.
