For you ladies out there (and maybe some guys)- skin care

The other day, I asked my mother what she used for her skin care regimen, and she said she didn’t use anything because she couldn’t afford it. Her birthday is this month, and I thought a nice present would be sending her some facial care stuff. She is turning 60 this year, so I guess the focus should be on anti-aging and reducing dark circles. I want to get her a cleanser, moisturizer, and eye cream. Any suggestions? What do you like/ use? Anything I should avoid?

This may be lame, but I use the Equate moisturizer, the stuff with Ceramides. I find that my skin heals faster from seb. psoriasis breakouts when I use it.

Origins do good skincare but it is expensive

Nivea is a good one and garnier

My mom is really into skin care and she looks good for her age. I’ll ask her when she gets home.

Murad Active Retinol is a really good one if you’re looking to spend a little money.

I don’t know how you feel about getting a gift box from Lush or body shop

My same-age mother has always loved Clinique. If it were for me, I would have a ton of Dermologica, Drunk Elephant, and all that to recommend, but for my mom in her 60s, absolutely Clinique all the way.

I’m 58 and all I use is Ivory soap. But, I don’t look all that great either. People tell me that I look great when I wear makeup. But, I don’t want to be bothered.

My mom uses oil of olay. She’s so beautiful. She’s 84 and if I live that long i hope I look just like her.

My mom swears by dr.perricone. it’s a brand with a lot of anti-aging products. She’s in her seventies but is often mistaken for somebody in her fifties. Kinda pricey tho.

Interesting. I wonder how magic Dr Perricone are. I am pretty thrifty with buying skincare products. The most expensive skincare stuff I ever bought is Body Shop. Hahhaha

IDK, it might just be genetics, but she’s always taken care of her appearance.

My grandmother has awesome genes, too. She always looks amazing, and she is turning 80 in a couple of days. I pray I age as gracefully as she has. She uses Neutrogena products, but I have tried them and didn’t like them, so I don’t want to get them for Mom.

Apparently retinol cream can actually reverse wrinkles to a degree, rosehip oil is ment to b a really good moisturiser.
