None of The Monkee’s played their own instruments. They were just faking but their vocals are real. And their music is no joke. In fact, in one year during the sixties, their records sales beat the Beatles sales!!

A song written by Mike Nesmith, a Monkee. He is actually quite an accomplished musician.

This brings back flashbacks from elementary school gym class 
60’s, I’d recommend the Doors, Johnny Rivers, Johnny Cash, Led Zeppelin.
Cash and Rivers are technically country, but I find them both to be pretty solid.

I think ccr was 60s thing maybe i suck at dates…well time in general
CCR is great. I think they started out in the 60’s and broke up around mid 70’s. I could be wrong though.
