I play the piano and digital keyboard. The last piece that I finished working on was “Fascination” by Marchetti. I had that piece up to performance level. I am now working on “Theme from Paisello’s La Molinara” by Beethoven. This Beethoven piece I’m finding is a little harder than the Marchetti. But, I’m getting it down.
Look up MelodyMusicStudios.com That’s where I get my lessons from. I’ve been studying with them for the last 11 years. They are good. The owner is Kathy Kerr.
Oh, Kathy is based in the U.S. I don’t know if she has teachers working in Canada. You can contact her website and on her website is her phone no. and you can talk to Kathy directly and ask.
I’ve been working on this song here, for the past few days.
The first part is fairly easy, but the fast right hand noted towards the end confuse me.
Have not been practicing enough, because I have been too disconnected and lacking the energy to play heavy instruments.
Right now I am learning to harmonize my melodies on the piano. A lot of fun. I am also working on tapping out my rhythms. And, I am concentrating a lot more on counting out my rhythms too. Very important. I played for years without counting. My piano instructor, who is a great pianist, says he didn’t start counting til he got to the college conservatory.
I took piano lessons for about 11years as an adolescent. The teacher made me count from the beginning in elementary books as a 6 year old. I haven’t played in quite a while now which is depressing.
Yesterday I took my first online guitar lesson. Just the basics so far. The lesson is just 15 minutes a day, so I hope I can keep it up and learn. It will probably help that I can read music and can sightread really well. But the fingering numbers are different in guitar, I found out, so that will take some time to get straight in my head.
I’m currently trying to learn Beethoven’s Moonlight Sonata. I’ve just started playing piano again recently having not played for many years. Finding it tricky, but I’ll get it eventually
