For once I'm not making the mess in my apartment

I clean after myself. My roommates! Especially that girl I suspect! Leave the nastiest grimiest plates laying around. It was just cleaned, the kitchen, two days ago. It looks like a tornado went through. Is it that hard to clean up after a meal? I guess I used to be the same way but would expect better from these folks lol.

I don’t know how our grandparents did it,

cooking and cleaning up after all those kids.
But then again, I wash doing dishes at 9 years old.

Bah that’s annoying…its not hard to at least scrap the plate and rinse it…

I’ve been messy my whole life. My mom never taught me how to clean. But 8 months in the sober house I learned how to clean. Moved into my own apartment for a year and a half…still wasn’t too clean. But since I got roommates I have been cleaning. Because it’s a joint mess and I feel compelled to respect others personal space. My roommates , three of them are 19. They’re the ones making the mess. I guess they’re still young and haven’t got into the habit of independent living/cleaning at their age. But I expected better!!! The mess comes so quick. I turn my back and then look back over and there’s a big pile of dirty dishes. We don’t have a dishwasher. I kindve like having no dishwasher because then I don’t “save the mess for later”. I scrub with soap right after I eat. But yeah.

honestly, all you can do is clean after yourself… do you guys have meetings to discuss issues of the house? You can talk to them and ask them to be more careful in the common areas

I just have a hunch it’s her!!! usually it’s the girl who keeps the place clean so I figured it’d be a nice twist to the tale if she was the one making the mess and not the males

Cleaning up is frustrating. Only if they would just rinse for gods sake.
