I hear someone walking in the basement. My dog is at the top stair growling. My kids aren’t here. Just me and my pup. It may just be my ghost.

I hope it turned out to be something harmless. There are a lot of normal noises that come from basements, like from the furnace, air in the pipes, etc.

Is the dog still growling at the noise? Maybe you should leave with your dog and have the police check it out for you.

I’d say call 911, especially if your dog is growling. Don’t go check for yourself. Quietly exit your home with the dog and call the police.
