Tried a new recipe tonight, turned out well.
Swedish meatball noodle bake
Making this on Tuesday evening:
Have some dashi on the way. I’m out. I have a tamagoyaki pan - you can get a decent enough one for like $5 on TEMU. Also make sure you have bamboo chopsticks and a flat spatula of some sort for pressing the tamagoyaki in the pan before serving.
Tried something new today. I liked the Swedish meatball bake I made a week ago, so today I whipped up an Italian version. I made the red sauce and meatballs from scratch, my own recipes. I used a full pound (454 g) of whole milk mozzarella, overkill lol, but oh well.
And yes, I’m such a dork I took pics at multiple steps of construction lol.
After topping the bed of undercooked penne rigate with a double batch of Italian style meatballs:
After the addition of the red sauce, which used four pounds of fresh tomatoes:
With a pound of mozzarella:
The finished product:
I made a mess getting it out of the pan and onto a plate, like getting the first piece of lasagna out of the pan.
Well did it taste good? I like to cook but I am not a cook like you. I don’t think I could make food like you do.
Oh it’s very tasty . The meatballs especially came out great.
I had chicken patties, rice, and gravy so I made this. It would have honestly been good with a little honey and crushed red pepper.
Well folks after trying a couple different times to make tortillas my tortillas finally turned out right. I must’ve watched the videos on how to make them like 50 times
That looks really good @Loke.
@Loke yum yum
i admire your dedication to cooking for yourself, you whip up some tasty looking meals. i used to do alot of cooking but slowed down a bit over time, but homemade food is always better than the always cold food delivery apps i find myself using
That looks beautiful! So many colors and I’m sure so many good nutrients
Thanks! Unfortunately the vegetables are a little undercooked. Somewhat tasty and healthiest thing I’ve eaten for a while though!
It looks very healthy!
That looks delicious.
