First day at my new job!

I think it went mostly well! It is a very good job in that it takes 100% of my focus so it distracts me from both symptoms and side effects from meds. However I do find it a bit overwhelming all the stuff involved in it. (Learning how to use programs to clock my hours, procedures for any missed time, logs for students, rosters to fill out, names to study, and that’s not even counting the actual lessons themselves which also have a LOT going on!)

For any who don’t know I’m doing a part time job as a swim lesson instructor for little kids. Super fun but holy geez it requires a LOT of work. But I made 70 bucks today (even though I’m just in training!) and there’s tons of opportunities to raise my pay so I can’t complain :ok_hand:t3:

Well done you! Keep your stress down…that ultimately hinders most when it comes to work. Keep it simple and keep within your limits. Hope it all goes well for you! Keep on keeping on!

When I talked about how I found it overwhelming to my parents they told me “you got a degree in neuroscience and an A in organic chemistry, this will be a piece of cake!!” It does make me feel better.

Is it full time job anna …!!!

No it’s just part time because I will eventually also be taking a full course load (of accelerated!! courses :sob::sob:) for my nursing program. I’m doing 15 hours a week now but will only be doing 10 once my classes start. I really hope it doesn’t get too overwhelming, I’ve had a lot of anxiety about that. But my parents are very encouraging and cheer me on.
