Fibro is kicking my arse today beginning with an allodynia patch on my arm and then painfully spreading, and now pains all over the place.
What do you do for pain management guys and gals?

That sounds awful. What do your doctors say?
I haven’t seen a GP about this. I just tick all the boxes in the symptoms requisite. They send you to a specialist., and I really don’t like venturing about currently.
Online, I read that they give gabpentin. I’m not too keen on that.
I used to use Lyrica but gained a lot of weight. Now I just take naproxen and tramadol.
I force myself to do like 10 minutes of yoga or go for a short walk, take a hot bath, make Mr. Star give me a massage, stuff like that. I find when I let myself spend the day in bed, my one bad day turns into 5 or 6 bad days. If I make myself do a little bit, it stays at 1 bad day.
Finding the underlying cause of fibromyalgia is not easy. In my country orthodox medicine has embraced a herb called devils claw. It’s supposed to be good for fibromyalgia. You might want to check that out.
I’ve just started on Duloxatine for fibromyalgia. I wanted to try Milnacipran but she couldn’t prescribe it here.
My aunt has fibromyalgia.
I researched a little on the topic for her few years back and found curcumin. She’s on the supplement and the pain has definitely been reduced! Look it up and Try it. Hope this helped.
I take ibuprofin for pain, and it works in moderate amounts. Pain is the worst
Oh, I was on that. It worked so well for me, until I turned red all over. Turns out I’m allergic. But it took away all my pain, so I am sad that I can’t use it
I’ve never been able to take a med for the pain, because the ADs they prescribe have all made me suicidal in the past. I’m allergic to most painkillers. Amyloban sort of helps a bit.
Right now I’m taking Lyrica 75mg 3X a day. Mostly I find moving around really helps. The less I it still the less I hurt. The other thing that I have found is reducing the amount stress that I am under has done wonders for me. I think that they are interrelated.
Thanks for letting me know, that sounds hopeful. I’ve had a bad week due to stress but I’m giving it time. Sorry to hear of your reaction, that sounds severe!
