Feeling spiffy

I think i posted about how i got our library a new sign. Well, I had been feeling pretty down over the past while because i felt invisible.

I put in a LOT of work, ideas, and my boss told me that I’m her equal now. We bounce ideas off each other and she always asks for my input or even approval on things. But, everyone always gives her full crefit for everything.

Now, let me be clear, she brought the library into the 21st century. The amount of work she did in the 2 years before i joined up was just crazy. In fact i am working with our parent organization on a secret award for her!

I just felt like no one knew or cared what i did. But my boss/friend always tells people what i do and never uses “I " it us always “we” or " Mombie and I”. The board knows what i do, heck my husband is treasurer so he really knows!

Anyway, the past week has lifted my spirits a lot. First the award thing…the lafy behind it reached out and asked me for help. #1 i had no idea she knew I existed. So, um, wow, I’m known by the parent org.

#2, on a woodshop fb page, the man that did our new sign posted pics and someone made the following comment:

Guys, people in the community are noticing that we are a team. I am valued!!!

Thanks, guys.

My boss is even trusting me to help her whip another library into shape. It’s a serious mess. I’m helping her on fridays, volunteering. She buys me breakfast and lunch.
